Contact lenses today are easy to fit and allow comfortable all day wear. They can be worn by all age groups, from children to senior citizens.
They are suitable for short sighted and long sighted prescriptions, people with astigmatism and for those that require varifocal prescriptions.
Contact Lens Options
- Daily disposable lenses – These are worn for a day or part of a day and then disposed of. They are simple to use, convenient and are low maintenance.
- Two weekly/ monthly disposable lenses – These are worn on a more regular basis. They require cleaning and disinfecting on a daily basis. They are more economical than daily disposable lenses.
- Gas Permeable lenses – These are also called hard contact lenses. They are also worn on a regular basis and require daily cleaning and disinfecting. They are generally replaced annually.
What’s the next step?
Once you have had an eye examination we can book you in for a contact lens consultation.
This will allow us to decide which lens option is best for you.
We will teach you how to insert and remove the lenses. When you are confident in handling the lenses we will give you a few pairs of lenses to try at home. We will call you back after a few days to ensure that you are comfortable with the lenses.
Once the final fitting and vision have been checked you will be free to purchase the lenses.

Contact lenses can be purchased on a pay as you go basis or through our Lens Plan Scheme.
